Carrie’s most cherished place ever since childhood was her family cabin in Cliffdell. She and her sister practically grew up there spending many weekends throughout the year and most summers. The cabin was built by her grandparents, parents and an aunt and uncle over a two year period. About 20 years ago her grandfather decided he was going to build a platform in the middle of their acreage so he could face Edgar Rock and enjoy the view. Perhaps there was a bit of divine intervention into his building of the platform there because when Carrie’s sister married, it served as the altar that perfectly framed behind it the tree underwhich their Mother’s grave is and behind it, Edgar Rock. When she and Tim married there, she got to follow in the footsteps of her younger sister with a cabin wedding and with her late Grandfather’s wedding gift – their altar.
Bride: “Thanks again for all that you did to make it the perfect day”.
